The Library

Real lives. Real books. Real families holding them.

Every book on this shelf began as a conversation with one of our two founders, and ended as a hardcover in someone’s hands. The space at the end is for the next one.

Read their stories

Dick, on the day his book arrived.

In His Own Words

“Oh, I’d say do it.
I think it’s a great thing.”

— Dick, born in Detroit, 1939

We asked Dick what he’d tell someone thinking about doing this for their family. Thirty seconds, unscripted, on the day his book arrived.

Common Questions

Everything families ask before they start.

How does Legacy Storybook work?

In five steps. The interview — three to six hours of unhurried, recorded conversation with one of our founders. The photographs — you gather the pictures that matter, and we set them into the story. Writing & design — their life, written true to their voice, with a cover made for them. Your review — three revision rounds, and nothing prints until you’ve signed off. Delivery — printed, bound hardcovers, delivered to your door. Watch Filmon walk through all five.

Who actually conducts the interviews?

One of our two founders, every time. You won’t be assigned a freelance writer and you won’t be handed between people: the same person who sits down with your loved one writes the book and sees it through to print.

How much does a Legacy Storybook memoir cost?

There are three packages — The Storybook, The Legacy Book and The Family Experience — and the price depends on how much of a life you want captured. We don’t list figures here because the right package is a conversation, not a checkbox. We walk you through all three on a free 30-minute call with no commitment. Compare what each package includes.

How much time does my loved one need to give?

Two or three recorded sessions of about 90 minutes each, depending on the package — three to six hours of conversation in total. The sessions are unhurried by design; that is the whole point of them.

What exactly do we get at the end?

A professionally written, full-colour hardcover book of up to 9 life chapters, laid out with your family’s photographs, and three printed copies. The Legacy Book and The Family Experience also include a digital archive.

What if we’re not happy with how the book reads?

Every package includes three revision rounds — factual corrections, structural feedback and tone adjustments. If after all three rounds it still doesn’t sound like your loved one, we keep working at no additional cost. And nothing goes to print until you have read every word and given your sign-off.

What if they don’t think their story is interesting enough?

Almost everyone says this at first, and the interview is built for it — the craft is in asking the question that opens the door. As one of the people we’ve worked with put it: You don’t realize how much is still in there until someone knows how to ask.

Do you offer a rate for veterans or people in senior care?

Yes. For veterans, and for anyone in assisted living, board-and-care, skilled nursing, home health or hospice, we offer The Storybook at a special rate — because these are exactly the stories that can’t wait. Ask about it on your free call. Read more about the special rate.

About Our Founders

Pharmacists by training. Storytellers by what the job taught us.

There’s a particular kind of conversation that happens at a pharmacy counter — one that never makes it into the job description. You learn quickly that people don’t need another clinical interaction. They need someone who will slow down and actually see them. Legacy Storybook is our answer.

Trained as a PharmD, Filmon discovered his passion for storytelling while working in a nursing home in Alaska — inspired by the depth, wisdom, and untold stories each resident carried. Eleonso spent years as a pharmacist standing at the intersection of medicine and grief — watching families receive diagnoses, navigate end-of-life decisions, and leave the counter carrying more than a prescription. He co-founded Legacy Storybook because he kept meeting people whose lives deserved a book, and no one was writing it.
